Spiders Series #1

Mom and Charlie had a bunch of shrubs in their backyard that were covered in spiderwebs. My children think I am a wuss. Actually, I am a wuss, but once in a while I do pretty brave things. I got up way before dawn to see who the heck was making all those webs. I used my 105 micro glass and my SB200 flashes because it was still pretty dark out. I’m not sure that I succeeded very well with proper lighting, but I was shocked to find out how many different spiders there actually were out there.

This white spider caught what looks to be a dragonfly larva. There is another picture coming up later that shows the spider capturing her prey. This kind of reminds me of when Dad brought home a deer…
