Desert Center Dump Truck

On our recent trip to Los Angeles, Glenn and I stopped in Desert Center (pop. 125). On my drives from Phoenix to LA and back, I had passed this little green spot in the middle of nowhere and finally found the truth about the signs for Lake Tamarisk. We thought we would find a restaurant in the little town north of the freeway, but it turned out that the little town was nothing more than a trailer park around a golf course with a pond.

We drove back to the diner by I-10 and had a bite to eat. The diner is surrounded by some interesting old buildings and vehicles.
