Serendipity

After getting stuck in rush hour traffic, getting lost just west of Corona (looking for a restroom in an industrial area, oops!), and checking into our hotel in Irvine, we went to Laguna Beach for a long walk and some seafood. We discovered a wonderful little park nestled between the galleries and restaurants. Brown’s Park

What a beautiful way to spiff up an overlook guardrail! Amid the wrought iron and bits of colored glass is a poem:

In this fleeting moment
what extravagant respite
as booming surf speaks its
mystical passage across
the undreamed depths.

Glenn did not pose for this picture. He refuses to pose. You have to be kind of quick and sneaky if you want a photo of Glenn; if he knows you’re going to take a picture he complains, puts his hand in front of the lens, then complains some more. (Gee, I wonder where he gets that from?)
