Old and New

Here’s another view of an old house, which includes the new double-wide behind it.
It is not unusual to see an abandoned old house or barn being taken over by nature on the back roads of Smith County. Things grow really fast in middle Tennessee.

If you look at the old house as a yard decoration, it works pretty well. Along with the flower beds, rusty tiller, and neatly trimmed lawn, it makes a statement. The owners could be saying, “Look how far we’ve come”, or “We are proud of our roots”.
