Gulf Fritillary Butterfly Close-Up

This is from 2007, when I first got my Nikon 105mm Micro glass. Here’s a close-up of the newborn Gulf Fritillary butterfly who stayed still enough for me to practice focusing.

The 105 micro is my favorite lens of all time: some beautiful bokeh and sharp as a tack (when the wind isn’t blowing your subject around…).
